Asset discovery, a single topology graph spanning business and operational networks, and consequence analysis derived from that graph — so an operator can answer “what is on my network, what does it reach, and what breaks if it is lost?” without a seven-figure licence.
Most industrial operators have an asset inventory that is a spreadsheet, maintained by hand, accurate on the day it was made. The network it describes has since acquired contractor laptops, replacement controllers, vendor remote-access appliances and equipment installed by someone who has since left.
The commercial tools that solve this properly are priced for utilities with dedicated security operations centres. For a lean operator running real infrastructure, the practical choice has been an inventory nobody trusts, or a licence nobody can justify.
The origin of this product was smaller and more specific: Enerdyne's own engineering tooling kept having to rediscover the same network from scratch, every session, because nothing retained what had been learned. The first requirement was therefore memory — a persistent, self-maintaining map — and everything else follows from having one.
Most tooling treats business networks and control networks as separate worlds, monitored by separate products that do not share a data model. That split is convenient for vendors and useless for defenders, because the paths that matter most are precisely the ones that cross between the two.
NNI-Scout maintains a single graph containing both. A route from a business system into a control zone is not a special case requiring correlation between two products — it is an edge, and it can be found by asking the graph.

Enerdyne states development status plainly. NNI-Scout runs in production on Enerdyne's own network infrastructure, which is the source of the operational claims below. The operational- technology capabilities are under active development and are not represented as available.

In its present form NNI-Scout performs active discovery and is appropriate for business and network-infrastructure segments. It is not currently offered for deployment on operational-technology segments; the passive-only operating mode required for that is in development. Enerdyne will not represent otherwise, because unsolicited traffic directed at control equipment is a safety matter rather than a policy preference.
NNI-Scout is intended to complement, not replace, established passive monitoring stacks. Its contribution is inventory, topology and consequence — knowing what exists, how it connects, and what the loss of any part of it would mean. Enerdyne recommends it alongside proven open-source network security monitoring for organisations that want defensible visibility without enterprise licensing.
Enerdyne does not position this product as a replacement for any named commercial platform, and makes no claim of feature parity with one.
